2017 Director Election

2017 Director Election

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta (Bank) is conducting an election to fill one public interest directorship on its board of directors. Each financial institution that was a member of the Bank as of December 31, 2016, or that is the acquirer of or successor in interest to such an institution, is eligible to participate in the election.

Ballots were mailed to members on Monday, August 21, 2017. Your institution’s vote is important and the Bank encourages you to participate in the election. An independent director nominee must receive at least 20 percent of the votes eligible to be cast to be elected. The deadline for the Bank to receive completed ballots is 5:00 p.m. EDT, Wednesday, September 20, 2017. The elected independent director will serve a four-year term that begins on January 1, 2018.

Member directorship elections in Alabama and the District of Columbia have been concluded. Earlier this year, the Bank solicited nominations from members in Alabama and the District of Columbia for the Alabama and District of Columbia member directorships. Current Bank director Travis “Tra” Cosby was the only individual to be nominated and to accept nomination for the Alabama member directorship. Current Bank director Brian E. Argrett was the only individual to be nominated and to accept nomination for the District of Columbia directorship. Accordingly, each has been deemed elected without further action under applicable regulations, and will serve four-year terms beginning on January 1, 2018.
